Carmina Burana, Orff &
Symphony No.5 , Beethoven

Great Symphony Orchestra & Choir

A must for lovers of life, art and satire.

Carmina Burana premiered in Frankfurt in 1937. Eighty years later it continues to be played in concert halls around the world. Carl Orff's most famous work celebrates hedonism, pleasures, the joy of living... but it also shows a scathing criticism of society.

Based on some of the medieval poems, it reveals the traditional concepts of life and death in the Middle Ages.

The concert program is completed with Beethoven's Symphony No. 5, a score that represents the greatness of music and its creator: a sentimental, agitated and intense genius.
